7ish weeks to go!

I had my glucose test last week or the week before...I can't remember now.

But good news, found out this week no diabetes for me yay.  However I apparently failed the iron part of the test horribly and my doctor was pretty concerned about it so i'm on a prescript twice a day.

Now hopefully no more needles until we get to the birth part :)

29 weeks

28/29 Weeks

   And we are officially in the third trimester.  I feel like I'm carrying higher this time around, but she is soo much lower then Casen was.  I never have trouble with her kicking my ribs.  Her little feet are kicking right above my belly button.  It's causing quite a bit of pelvic pain and Caleb informed me that i've started to waddle :)
   She's super active during the day, so other then the normal wake ups during the night sleeping hasn't been as difficult as the first time around.  I just seem to be exhausted all the time like I was in the first trimester.  I've started back into getting really nauseous easily again....it was nice while it lasted.
   My belly is growing at rapid speed.  Thanks to my sister in law I purchased a belly band and that has helped a ton.  It helps my clothes last longer and makes my maternity pants a lot more comfortable.  I don't know if anyone else has this trouble, but the pants seems to stretch out in the first five minutes of wearing them and I spend the rest of the day trying to keep them up.

2 and a half months left!  I really hope it flies by.
We have our 30 week appointment next week to hopefully find out everything went well with the glucose test and then the visits should start becoming more frequent.  And we'll hopefully get to schedule our next ultrasound :)

Nothing really new.  All good reports from the Dr and I head for my glucose test next week, yuck.

24 Weeks

We have about 3 and a half months left until the little lady arrives!

I had a doctors appointment right before our trip to New York and everything looks good.  I have another one next week and pretty soon they'll start being more frequent.

Little things are starting to fall into place.

Her diaper bag is here.  I love it!

Her closet is also full.  My brother and sister in law let us borrow tons of little girls clothes.  We're super thankful since all of my clothes in storage are blue :)  It's fun going through tiny little dresses and girly things.

I'm started to get to the uncomfortable stage.  Bending over to do anything, especially Casen, isn't going so smoothly anymore.
Recently i've started getting terrible charley horses a good share of nights.  They come in the middle of the night and some of them leave me hurting for awhile.  I did some research and found they're pretty normal for pregnancy, but news to me since I never had them with Casen.  I got some bananas and read about some stretching to do so hopefully they go away soon enough.
She is soo active.  Her movements have started to become obvious outside the belly.  She has no problem kicking dad's hand away or her brother's head if that's where he has decided to rest.

We can't wait to meet her!

21 Weeks

Half way

We've officially passed the half way mark.  I'm a little bit over 20 weeks and now that we know what we're having the time has started to really slow down.  It seems like in the beginning you have the milestones to look forward to, first doctor's appointment, the first ultrasound, hearing the first heartbeat, the gender ultrasound, feeling the first kick.  Now that we're passed all that it doesn't seem like there's much to push the time along until February.  I'm thankful for our 2 week vacation coming up and I suppose we have lots of holidays to keep up busy too....yay for finally getting to spend the holidays with Caleb!  We've only had one Christmas together since we've been married.

Arya is now the length of a banana, weighing in at 10 oz.

She is awake...a lot!  She kicks much harder then Casen did, especially this early.

I'm pretty much only sick in the mornings now before breakfast.  With Casen I was still really sick at this point.

I can't think of any particular cravings, except a lot of fruit.  I'm hungry all the time though and have lots of random cravings, just not one certain thing constantly.

I've gained less weight so far with her then Casen, but my belly is bigger.

Our next appointment is about a week away and then its off for 2 weeks of much needed relaxation, especially for my husband :)

20 Weeks...it's a girl!

20 Weeks

I don't know if it's carrying a girl vs. a boy or being my second pregnancy, but I just feel huge.  Much bigger then the first time around at this stage.

We got to go for our big ultrasound yesterday.  Caleb had been hoping for a girl from the beginning and I was really fine with either.  I just loved our boy's name so much I was hoping we'd be able to use it :)

Caleb and Casen were able to go with me this time.  I've loved having him home to share this with.  Everything looks perfect.  She's right on track.  The Dr. said she got a clear view and it was definitely a girl!  She never stops moving.  I don't remember feeling Casen so strong this early on as much as I am with the little lady.

After our appointment we remembered we had a gift certificate for Kohls so we stopped to do a little shopping since we have zero girl clothes here.  Yikes.  We ended up with this adorable little dress and a strawberry sleeper :)

Now let's just get to February

18 Weeks

Everything looked good at the Dr's appointment today.  Caleb and Casen got to go with me.  The whole time Casen said, "babies heart, babies heart."

The heartbeat is 155 and the big ultrasound is less then 2 weeks away.  I can't wait!

I finally started feeling lots of movement from the baby.  Punches and kicks at the same time.  We have a very active little one.  Now we just have to wait a few weeks so Caleb can feel too :)

Almost 17 weeks.  Not the greatest picture, but i'm starting to lose the little belly and just getting big all over. Caleb's shirts have become my new wardrobe and complaining about my size is my new hobby :)

14 Weeks

We had our 14 week appointment today.

Casen and Caleb got to come so that was really nice.  Everything still looks good.  It was our first time hearing the heartbeat, 150, which is lower then Casen's was.  Zero weight gain, which is really weird since my belly is ever-growing.

Next appointment in 4 weeks and the big ultrasound soon after that!

3 years for us and baby is 13 weeks.

We had an awesome time at dinner for our anniversary.  I can't believe it's been three years.  I couldn't ask for a more perfect partner :)

Morning sickness is back in full force.  That's about it baby wise.  Next appointment Friday!

12 Weeks

We had our first ultrasound today.  It was actually pretty nice to wait until a little later so it actually resembles a baby.  We didn't get the greatest pictures because s/he never stopped moving!  The little legs are up by the head and would stay still long enough to really be seen in the picture.  We even got some clues to the sex of the baby.  Pretty crazy so early on :)

10 Week App

Nothing too exciting at these appointments.

Losing weight, so getting some prescriptions for nausea.  No luck finding the heartbeat, but she said not to worry since it's still early and all my blood work came back normal.

Ultrasound scheduled in 2 weeks...getting pretty anxious.  I got one at 10 weeks with Casen so I thought that's when i'd get on with this baby as well.

Almost 10 weeks.  Picture taken at about 6am so it's an empty belly...it only grows from there :/

Morning sickness seems to be subsiding, which is sooo much faster then pregnancy # 1.  I only seem to be sick now before breakfast and if I wait too long to eat any meals.

Morning Sickness

Now I remember why I hate being pregnant....

Morning sickness is in full swing all day long.  Its a little different this time around with an energetic 2 year old.

We're 8 weeks as of yesterday.  Not growing too much.  I'm about the same size as the last picture.  Our next doctor's appointment is in 2 weeks.  I'm really hoping we get an ultrasound.

1st Appointment

I think maybe because this is the second time around, but i'm just not getting all excited about these beginning appointments.  I know I hate being pregnant so i'm just ready for it to be over already and have another baby.

Pretty boring first appointment.  Got some vitamins, have to go for blood work, and will be back at 10 weeks.  I miss having my midwife!

In other news, morning sickness is back in full affect, except all day.  Just a few days ago I was telling Caleb how nice it was to be able to eat and not get sick this time around...not for long I guess.
I've also been having a lot more random cravings this time around, muddy buddies, strawberries, english muffins, doritos...I'm thankful I have the best husband to make shopping trips with me :)

22

Yesterday I turned 22.  22 with 2 babies...kinda crazy.

Caleb got me these gorgeous diamond earrings.  I love love them.

He had to leave for work at 4am, yuck.  He texted me when he got to work and told me there was a note in one of my books.  The clue hidden in my book lead me to many more clues hidden around the house ultimately leading me to this

It's so pretty and smells lovely too :)  I loved searching for it.  He did an awesome job!

Not too long after Casen woke up and I got some sweet morning cuddles in bed

I got to skype with my family from far away and even got to be part of the cake and candles.

Caleb finally came home around 4:30 and we headed to the mall and dinner at an awesome brewhouse.

We ended the night at the park and being invited to our sweet friend's house where I was spoiled with flowers and gifts.

Can't wait til next birthday as a family of four!

19 weeks with Baby # 1

5 Weeks

5 weeks...yes I said 5 weeks.  Mind you, this is after eating pasta so i'm not always this big, but still, I did not expect to be growing out of clothes at 5 weeks.  They're my maternity shorts already.  It took me 15 weeks to get this big with Casen.

Baby #2

It's true.  We're expecting Baby number 2 :)

I took a couple test early and they gave us iffy results, but yesterday we had a definite yes.

Caleb and I decided around last month that we'd like another baby.  We knew we needed to be pregnant before August if we were going to at all  because we will be leaving California in May and didn't want to have to worry about me being close to delivering....less then a month later we have a baby.  I feel so blessed for things to go so smoothly with us as far as pregnancy goes.  No stress.  I honestly did not expect to be pregnant so soon.

Our babies tentative due date is February 18th, 2013!

But for now...we're keeping it a secret :)

Under Construction

I'm not sure if anyone still reads this or not.  It's been awhile.

Just letting everyone know I have a new plan for the blog and while I make the changes i'll be shutting it down to all viewers.  When I'm finished setting it up i'll open it back up.

We had a very busy week with visitors!  Unfortunately the weather didn't really cooperate and of course now that our guests are gone it's back to 80 and sunshine, thankfully we still packed a lot of stuff into a week.

But oddly enough I hardly took any pictures...here's a few of what I have

We made the crazy scary mountain road trip last night to pick up a spare helmet.  Casen had a blast trying it on.  He ran around the entire house like a mad man laughing and running into things.  I wish I would've got a cuter video.

Casen is still feeling horrible.  His eyes looks like he got a good punch, with a yucky cough, runny nose, sore throat...and teething, the poor guy.  He's beyond pitiful.

And then we decided some fresh air may be nice for him so we made a run to the mall...of course had to make a stop at the Disney store, and he got some new cars.  I'm not sure whose more excited about them, him or Dada.

We have a very sick little man.  From the amount of throwing up he's done and him crawling up into my lap 2 hours before bedtime and falling asleep...I think it's more than teething.

He's beyond pitiful when he's sick

With all the ickiness and the amount of rain headed our way in the next couple days, soup sounded perfect.  I had a recipe for a creamy chicken noodle soup in one of my magazines.  I love it! It is my new favorite chicken noodle soup.
