We Made It!

We finally made it!  Our stuff doesn't come until Wednesday so I won't take pictures of the apartment until then, but it's beautiful here.  It's definitely going to take some getting used to.

On the Road Again

We're leaving tomorrow! It doesn't seem possible.  I haven't even done a little bit of packing yet.  Luckily we have a moving company coming and doing most of the work for us, but I really don't think they could pack up the apartment in the state it's in now : )  I'm excited to move!  I've been sad because I've really loved our stay here in Virginia, however, some recent events have made it oh so clear that it's a nice time to move on and start a new chapter, (like we really have a choice.)
My parents came down for a few days and we had lots of fun, unfortunately all the pictures are on their camera that i'm going to have to borrow eventually.  Casen loves the attention of more than me around all day.  Yesterday we soaked up our last weekend here and some gorgeous weather with a walk through the park.

MyRide 65

My 18 pound superrr long baby is ready for a new car seat and with an extremely long car trip coming up, we thought it was the perfect time to buy one.  We ended up getting Graco's MyRide 65 Convertible Car Seat.  It was one of the few I found that would last him until the end, but could stay rear-facing for the time being. 

Pretty excited for it to arrive.  Hopefully it will make car trips a little easier and more comfortable for the little man.

It's February!  And while much of our family and friends are snowed in today, we woke up to a temperature of 62 : )  And are supposed to be enjoying 70's today.  A perfect day for the park or playground!
The weather has reminded me of how soon we'll be packing up and heading to California.  I can't believe it's only two weeks away!  So much to do...so little time.
Casen has become a Cheerio vacuum cleaner.  He's started on steamed carrots and freeze dried yogurt (they're awesome and I highly recommend them.)  We're trying out avocado and bananas today.  Slowly but surely we're working on switching over to the sippy cup.  I can't believe he's 7 months old already.  And so so big!
