Thankful Thursday

Today I'm thankful for...

-Finally being able to have a normal conversation with my husband yesterday!
-Finding a costume for Casen to wear to the nursing home
-Putting together a extra special care package for Caleb today...I found lots of goodies
-The power of seeing answered prayer and how much stronger my prayer life has become through this deployment
-Getting to listen to a conversation between Caleb and Casen after Casen saw me on the phone and said, Dada? and then proceeded to ask for his turn.
-Casen being sippy cup free!!  I should say completely any sort of "toddler" cup free.  We're on to the grown up kind :)
-Getting to shop in WalMart babyless (is that something you're allowed to be thankful for :p)
-And i'm super thankful for the Bible study i'm doing right now.

We miss you soo much Caleb

Rocking Elephant

His new found love of riding the rocking elephant

Thankful Thursday?

This Thursday....i'm not really feeling the thankfulness.

My jaw has at least tripled in size, my healing isn't going according to plan, stupid things are upsetting me, and i'm pretty sure I actually woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning

Hoping for a change today
                      until then......maybe another Thankful Friday?

Thankful Thursday (a day late)

My thankful Thursdays seem to come on Fridays

This week i've been thankful for:
-Casen being able to play in the leaves
-Getting a greater amount of calls from Caleb then normal
-Getting to have normal conversations with my husband instead of just trying to catch each other up on everything
-Casen sleeping in today!
-Family that has provided Casen with enough warm clothes and toys to last him all winter!  And the treats i've gotten along the way as well :)
-Having the best hairdresser!  Tomorrow I have 2 hours for her to do anything I want for free!!  I'm so excited to get it cut and died.

This weeks been a little easier to be thankful for.  It always is when I get to hear from Caleb more.  I'm hoping I can continue as our communication will soon be dwindling.

20!

We're 20% done this deployment.  Yay!
I would love for it to be like 99%, but for now, i'm happy to see this number.

One day at a time....

I love you sweetheart
Can't wait til you're home again with us <3

My Little Country Boy (until we go back to California)

My parents have a lot of land and berry bushes they've planted...Casen has thoroughly enjoyed running around freely and picking raspberries and strawberries :)

Eating strawberries out of their strawberry patch

Picking the raspberries

He loves his lawn mower :)

Thankful Thursday (a day late)

I'm trying my hardest these days to find things to be thankful for.  Some days are easier then others, but i'm hoping this weekly exercise helps.

This week i'm thankful for:
-Getting to hear from my husband for the first time in a long time, even if it was for a short while, it makes my day pretty much perfect (aside from him being here of course.)
-Watching Casen playing outside in the leaves bundled in his little work boots and jacket.
-Seeing on my donut of misery that we're 17% through this deployment!
-Having a husband to miss.  Being away is really difficult, but i'm super thankful God gave me a wonderful husband that is so easy to miss.
-Casen's learning new words!  His cutest so far is "Tyler"  I can't believe how quickly he learned that one.
-Getting to visit my newest adorable niece, and littlest diva I've ever met, miss Makenzie Alyssa.
-Putting together care packages for Caleb.  I really love shopping for him and putting it all together.

I'm hoping this coming week is a better week for me realizing what I do have instead of complaining about what's missing.
