February

February was my favorite month we've had in awhile.

We ended up being able to make Arya's 10th birthday extra special this year.  Back in November one of our favorite bands announced they were going back on tour and it just so happened that the day they were going to be closest to us was going to fall on Arya's birthday and Caleb was off and it was a weekend so the kids didn't have to miss school.  Caleb and I jumped at the chance, thankfully because the tickets were sold out by the next day.  We surprised the kids with the tickets hidden in the Christmas tree in December and have just been patiently waiting for February.

She simply requested a pink themed birthday this year.  We set up her decorations and let her open some presents on Friday when she got home from school since we'd be out of town on the actual day.

The next day we headed down to North Carolina and enjoyed brownies as her birthday dessert request.

And then we got to spend our evening here, with Falling In Reverse at the Rockzilla tour.

And we got to be right here

By the time we got out I think it was close to midnight so we made a late night fast food run and got to hang out at the hotel for the rest of our time there.

And we got to finish our month with some pretty awesome company.  Twinner and her family were able to make the trip down, which is pretty crazy since they have 4 kiddos now.  We had so much fun with them, adventuring around town and just hanging out at home.  The baby snuggles are definitely missed and I just love being an aunt.

January

January, we of course celebrated Caleb's birthday.  We got really yummy fried chicken from Cocky Rooster and he always chooses key lime pie, but we had to sneak in a Crumbl cookie delivery on his actual birthday because he, unfortunately, had to work.

Any Friday or Saturday night Crazy Rooster has a good food truck we head down the road with the kids and have a yummy dinner and play board games for the evening.  It's been really fun.

Caleb had an unexpected guest jump in his car one evening on a call.

And we finished up the month with a fun Skittles challenge.  Caleb and I bought all the different flavors of Skittles we could find and the kids, blindfolded, had to guess what flavors they were from the list.
