I had a doctor's appointment today. All looks good. I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time and it's in the 150's, so some would speculate it's a girl...but I just hafta be patient. Everything looks completely normal and my next appointment is at the end of January where we'll schedule to find out the sex of the baby...yayy.
I really missed Caleb being there, though. I loved to see the look on his face during the ultrasound so it was really hard being there alone to hear the little heartbeat for the first time.

I just took a picture, but i feel like i've already grown since then.

200 days until the baby comes!

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

We got to see Baby C today : ) All looks normal. He/She's a wiggle worm!

And other good news...Caleb's deployment has been delayed a week so I get some extra time with him : ) I'm soo thankful he got to come to an appointment with me before he goes.

We're just getting back from spending our holidays in New York. We had Thanksgiving and Christmas since Caleb won't be here when the time comes for the real thing : (
We're rushing to get everything packed up and put into storage before he leaves on Saturday and I head back to New York for what I hope is a really fast seven months.

We have the first official appointment tomorrow in the morning and i'm really hoping the do an ultrasound or we hear a heartbeat or something since it's the only appointment Caleb will be able to make it to.

I'm sick alll the time, but at ten weeks, so hopefully just a couple more weeks to go before I can start enjoying this whole pregnancy thing.

We went to the doctors yesterday. Well, we thought it was going to be for our first appointment, but we were wrong. I got put in a class to be taught things I already knew and then got sent to the lab to get a lott of blood taken. Our first real appointment is scheduled for December 2nd and with Caleb deploying December 5th I really hope they let him off work for it.

8 weeks and quite big after dinner

starting a baby bump

After dinner and at night I feel quite big even though it doesn't really show it in this picture...we tried though. I'll be 8 weeks on Tuesday and so far it has been quite miserable. I'm sick of being sick!

Let the morning sickness begin...in the afternoon

Zzz

Main symptom so far: I'm sooo tired! I could sleep all day. When i'm not sleeping i'm tired and when i'm sleeping i'm having the craziest dreams.

I'm nauseous most of the day but no actual morning sickness yet, thank goodness.

We're officially having a baby!

I took a pregnancy test last Thursday...okay, well three because we didn't believe it and yesterday it was confirmed at the doctors that I am 5 weeks pregnant.

I'm going to start this blog because unfortunately Caleb's going to be deployed most of my pregnancy and I want to keep him updated on the whole process, especially with this being our first.

This is nothing we planned on. We wanted to wait until he was out of the Marines or at least until we knew he'd be home, but I guess it's God's timing now and we're in for the ride.

We shall see what happens : )
