After 2 long weeks (well probably just for me and Caleb) we picked up casen yesterday!

From what I hear he did amazing.  We packed him some emergency notes and pictures and he didn't even open them until he got back from camp.  My parents were really good about keeping us updated with pictures so now I get to post a bunch of his cuteness :)

Enjoying eating the fish he caught!

7 years

7 years!

This year has been an extra sweet one for us.  Our babies are growing up.  Were settled in a house and routine.  Calebs been at his job a few years now.  So this year we've been able to do quite a bit of spending time growing us.  We missed out on that in years before with deployments and early babies.  Not that I would change a bit of it! But this year sure has been lovely.

We did a mini trip to Williamsburg and Yorktown a few days ago since calebs schedule didn't line up with our anniversary.  And, for real, i hit the jackpot.  The trip was perfect.  But he still made our day extra special with surprise gifts and waking up on 2 hours of sleep to go to church and take his ladies out for dinner.  He basically lives on no sleep to always put in the extra effort for family and im just so thankful for him.

I love living life with him!

Our "couple" tattoos are finally complete.

I set a weight loss goals for myself a few months ago and told caleb I wasn't going to get my tattoo until I did.  I finally reached my goal and am thankful for caleb being so supportive and encouraging through the process.  I'm thankful it's turned into more then just a weightloss goal.  You can't beat feeling better, more healthy, and exercise being a normal daily thing doesn't hurt...especially during our long bikini season :)

We wanted to do some sort of tattoo together but weren't fans of the normal names, initials, or wedding dates (and yes we've heard all the couple tattoo divorce jokes.)  Caleb wanted to get something for his time in the Marines and we realized their motto semper fidelis fit perfect for us.  It translates to "always faithful." The trials and triumphs we faced together during his 5 year service created our perfectly imperfect story that is completely special to us.  It shaped our marriage and our now entire life.

Caleb was able to get his back in April

And now I have one to match :) perfect timing with our upcoming anniversary.

Pennsylvania Trip

Last week we packed up and headed up to Pennsylvania.  The goal of the trip was of course to drop Casen off to head up to New York, but Caleb got a few extra days off so we were able to pack in some fun as well.

The first night we got there Tyler and Katie taught us (Caleb) how to make some fresh pasta.  It was delish with chicken parm!

And we worked off our dinner with a little mini golf.  Tyler lives right across the street so it worked out really well.
Caleb ended up in a little extreme mini golf

The second day Pat hooked us up with some tickets to Hershey.  The kids had such a blast.  We haven't been to an amusement park since I was about 8 months pregnant with Arya so I wasn't sure how they would do.  Casen wanted to ride all the rides he could and loved having Mac there to go on the rides with him.  Arya was a bit more skeptical, but she found quite a few rides she really enjoyed once they got going.  The even did roller coasters, but I was riding and not able to get pictures.

Wednesday happened to be Uncle Ty's birthday.  When he was down here for Casen's birthday he said he wanted to have a fun party too.  So, we found the cheesiest decor possible and he got a party :)

Birthday dinner!

Thursday Katie brought us to the nature center and then the kids had a ton of fun meeting up with cousins for a Bass Pro trip

And then the hard for mom and dad part of saying goodbye to Jo for two whole weeks while he heads up to camp with Papa and Grandma.  Arya was wiped out for the ride home.

Mom has been great about sending us pictures.  They only get service at one spot in Blake so they head there twice a day so Casen can call and let us know about his day.  He is having so much fun!
