Picture Overload...Complete house tour

Here's the grand tour of our house.

If you don't want to see lots of pictures of it...quit while you're ahead and stop reading now :)

I'll do the best I can to give you an electronic thorough tour of our new place.

The front

Cant wait to see what all the trees will look like in the spring

Our cute little sidewalk and light
This side door will walk you into our laundry/mud room, but more on that in a bit.

The inside

When you first walk in to our cutest little red door (one of my favorite parts)....
You enter our living room.  This will be more of a formal space for us since we'll now have a "family room"

Coat closet

And then on the other side of this wall, straight ahead, is our kitchen/dining area

Excuse the mess, they're doing the inspection.
I love the little black detail they put into the cabinets
 Insert new fridge here :)
 Dining area
Window above the sink for a perfect view of the back yard
 Recessed lighting yay

Looking straight into the kitchen, head right and you'll find the main bath to the left, mud room straight ahead, and the family room to the right.

Main floor bathroom
I don't know why, but I love the vanity
Yay for a newly tiled shower

The family room

 The mud/laundry room

Okay...backing up a bit (it's hard to do a written tour...especially in a quad level home)  When you first walk in the front door you're in the living room.

See that stair case on the left?

That leads to our third floor, sleeping space.  Newly finished hardwood floors :)
The little door you see straight ahead is this linen closet.
And then you see three other doorways which are just the boring bedrooms...for now :)

Also on the third floor is our second bath, which connects to the master

Back to walking up the stairs
Take a sharp left at the top of these stairs
And walk up this little set of stairs to the finished attic.
It also has a door to completely shut it off from the 3rd floor.
See the little opening to the right of the stairs?
That's this adorable closet

And that's it for the inside...phew

Here's the backyard..should look much prettier in the spring

 And the garage

And that is all for now!  Which was probably way more then anyone wanted to see :)  I will definitely update pictures as we move in and make it our own.

10 Months!

I woke up this morning totally forgetting our little lady turns 10 months today.  Double digits. Woah.  And in 2 months we'll be celebrating her birthday.  Nooo.

At 10 months she:

- Is taking quite a few steps on her own.  She can now stop and start walking again without falling down.
- She's still furniture surfing and she has a speed crawl, but to get from one couch to another she'll walk now.
- She says mama, dada, baby, bye bye, hi, uh-oh and probably a couple others I'm forgetting.
- If you ask her to go find her baby or her blanket she will go find them and bring them back to you.
- She working on her top teeth.  One popped through, so she has a total of three right now and I think the 4th is right behind.  She teeths much much slower then her brother ever did!
- She loves to give kisses.  There's nothing better then baby kisses.  She'll just randomly crawl over to you and give you lots of hugs and kisses.  Caleb and I usually get at least 5 with snuggles in between.
- She loves demolishing things.  You'd be amazed how fast a laundry basket can be emptied with this crazy lady.
- Sleeping is still not good, i'm going to blame it on teething for now.  But when we finally move into our house and can let our kids make noise and she can make noise, we'll be cracking down on it.
- She's in 9-12 month clothes and still size 3 diapers.
- She eats pretty much everything at this point.  I probably introduce all the foods faster then they say to, but she's survived so far.  And this girl loves her food!

I had planned on doing a 10 month photo shoot, but after the Christmas pics I won't be attempting that until she hits 12 months.

Don't mind her looking like a boy.  These are from game day Sunday :)

Christmas Pictures

I think with each holiday that comes it takes longer and longer for me to get the kids to sit still and cooperate long enough to get one good shot.

200 pictures later....that's just what I got.  One nice picture of each of them.  I guess that's all you need.  I can't imagine trying to take them somewhere to have someone else do it.  Yikes!  And getting a nice picture of the two of them together?  Never.  Getting a nice picture of anything in front of the Christmas tree?  Even more never.

So here you go.

Big News

We're so excited to finally be able to announce.......

We have a house!!! (pending inspection and appraisal and all that lovely stuff)

For now I only have the pictures from online because we had no idea what the house was going to look like walking into it, so I didn't plan to bring the camera.  And even after seeing the home we thought it was more then a long shot of us actually getting it.  We've been looking at houses a few months now and in the area we picked houses do not stay on the market long.

I can't believe after 5 years of moving and renting and let's not forget saving, we finally found our home.  And I get to say dream home, because it really is exactly what I wanted.

 4 bed, 2 bath, 2100 sq ft.

It's a tri level home turned quad because they redid the attic to make it a 4th bedroom.  We realized through house searching that we liked colonial and tri-level homes.  Caleb and I both like having bedroom separate from living areas.  The first time we went looking we saw a tri level and I fell in love with the layout, but the house just wasn't for us.  We both wanted a newly updated house that needed little to no work.  We've been wanting a house for so long we didn't like the idea of having to move in and not be totally in love with it.  Of course this is all completely our own taste, we have nothing against houses that need work and if either of us was more handy we probably would've thought about it as an option :)  We had a couple colonials we thought were the one and ended sadly, but I am now so thankful they did because I am so in love with this house!

The living room when you first walk in.  The new red door is one of my favorite things :)

Eat in kitchen/dining room

Family room (we plan to make this the place we hang out and the living room more of just a formal space.)

laudry/mud room

Finished attic that's a 4th bedroom.  Perfect playroom and for when we have visitors.

One of the 3 other bedrooms (they all look pretty much the same)

downstairs bathroom...we don't have pics of the upstairs one, but it's pretty similar

And at the top of Caleb's wish list...a garage!

We do have a yard, it's on the smaller side, but the average size for this area.  We don't have any pictures of that, but it's pretty with lots of trees :)

And that's it in a nutshell!  I will keep posting updates as we make them.

And the best husband award goes to :)

I own 2 Welker jerseys, but he sadly is no longer playing for our team :(  So Caleb got me an upgrade.

And it's not even Christmas yet <3 nbsp="">

We did a mini photoshoot to try and get some nice pictures for the holidays.  We did a couple inside that were disastrous, so we attempted some outdoor stuff.  We at least got a half way decent family one with everyone looking at the camera (Our camera is really old and doesn't take the best pics anymore.)  I can't expect too much with a 3 year old and 10 month old.

With these two goofballs, it's impossible to get a good shot of them together

And you know when it's quitting time.
