School

On September 6 Casen officially started school as a first grader.  He is blowing us away with how well he is doing this year.  He has a brand new teacher to the school this year, who actually runs a youth group at a local church.  It really couldn't have worked out better.

He had his PALS assesment this past week and is officially reading at a 4th grade level!!

Vacation 3

We spent the rest of our days around the hotel area exploring

Casen had earned some money at Papa's house returning camp cans and bottles and he found a store to spend it at while we were there.

 We had lots of really yummy meals

We all had so much fun and will definitely be planning a vacation again next year!

Vacation 2

We ended up having the perfect day at Buckroe Beach.  The weather was awesome and the ocean was so warm we all swam in it.  We had to keep calling Casen back in, afraid he was going to wash away in the waves.  Arya was more about the sand and the beach.  The waves were a bit much for her.

Family Vacation

2 months away from the blog has been a much needed break.

So, the next few posts of pictures are probably old news.  We've had such an awesome and busy couple of months. But for documenting purposes, you get all the old stuff first.

Caleb took some time off this summer for us to go on our first official family vacation.  We weren't quite sure where we were going and then Caleb was contacted by Holiday Inn.  It was one of those calls that seemed way too good to be true and there must be some sort of catch, but thankfully, it really was just that good of a deal.  So, anyways, our vacation landed in Williamsburg, which we had zero complaints about.  It's our favorite go to spot and we got some awesome accommodations.

The first morning started out bright and early with Caleb bringing a little breakfast in bed home from work.

The next day we headed to the beach.  And for once, I got a ton of pictures, so new blog to follow.

After 2 long weeks (well probably just for me and Caleb) we picked up casen yesterday!

From what I hear he did amazing.  We packed him some emergency notes and pictures and he didn't even open them until he got back from camp.  My parents were really good about keeping us updated with pictures so now I get to post a bunch of his cuteness :)
