Only 5 pounds to go til pre-baby weight (nursing does wonders)....and then the diet and exercise begin!  And we have one healthy little lady.  She's back up to her birth weight and is such a blessing to us.

And to any moms currently nursing or planning on it, please check out Gilligan & OMalley nursing camis.  They are awesome!!

38 Weeks

I had my 38 week appointment today.

BP is still good.  No weight gain.

However it seems as though she's still growing fast.  The Dr. scheduled me for an ultrasound next week and if she's over 9lbs we'll be having a scheduled c-section.

I'm hoping she's not close to that, as I have already delivered an over 8 pound baby and it was no fun.  Needless to say, this time, i'm planning on getting an epidural :)

37 Week Appointment

I went in for my weekly visit today.

She felt my stomach and said woah your baby has gotten huge in the last week...so I think we're going to have another chunker :)

That's about it.  Another 10 minute visit.  BP is still good and everything looks normal.  I was hoping she would check to see if i've made any progress, but no such luck.  Hopefully at my appointment next week!

Her Space

We only have a 2 bedroom apartment, one room Casen is occupying and the other is ours.  We tried to figure out in the beginning where exactly we were going to put Arya.  After talking about it we realized we're going to be packing up and moving when she's only 2 months old.  I know most people decorate a great nursery and have big plans for baby, but in reality, for the first 2 months, baby ends up sleeping with you, in a swing, in a bassinet...anything that you can get them to sleep in :p  With all that in mind, we decided until we move we'd just put her in our room with her pack n play.  It's a little tight, but there's no way we're moving to a bigger apartment when we'll be moving across the country in April and I don't want her in Casen's room waking him up all night and ending up with a cranky 2 year old on top of a newborn during the day.

So, for now, here's her little space...nothing grand, but enough to get us by until we pack it all up and head to the east coast.

Her bear Casen made at build-a-bear and her little doll Mac got her for Christmas :)

I got these bins at the 99 cent store (i'm really going to miss that store when we move) to hold all her clothes for now since we have this old bookcase that wasn't really being used.  It works perfect for now.

Now we just have to get her swing set up, which is a portable one, so it will probably get moved around the house and then get settled next to the bookcase at night.  Casen lived in his the first 6 months of his life.

Now I just have to work on my hospital bags!

36/37 Weeks

I can't believe how different i'm carrying with this pregnancy compared to Casen.  I think I've got the stereotype "girl" belly compared to the typical "boy" belly I had the first time around.

Tomorrow I'll hopefully have my hospital bags done and her little corner all set up.

36 Appointment

We were leaving the parking lot less then 20 minutes after we pulled in, so my appointments are really short, but I guess that means everything looks good.

No weight gain this week so so far I've gained a little less then 30.  My Dr said she's still floating around my bladder, so she hasn't started the drop quite yet, but hopefully soon.

She did confirm I had puppps, but it looks like it's all starting to heal up.  I'm so happy!  As long as it doesn't get any worse I can deal for the next 4 weeks.  I switched to the baby detergent a little early since we'll be needing it soon any way.  I'm not sure if that helped at all or if I just got a milder case of the rash since i've had it previously.  It's still annoying and extremely itchy, but not too much longer to go!

This weeks need to stop crawling by.
Next appointment in a week....and hopefully getting around to a picture at some point too.

U/S

We were able to get an ultrasound done yesterday.

It was really quick and I was hoping for a 3D, which we didn't get...so I guess her face will be a complete surprise in about a month :)

All looks on track.  She had her little legs tucked up by her belly.  She's head down so she should stay that way until delivery.  She was moving around like crazy and since she's so much bigger then the 20 week u/s it's a little harder to pick things out.  We did see her perfect little heart and some hands and feet and the little round belly.  The tech showed us the cute little hair on her head...so no bald baby for us!  Casen had a little bit of hair when he was born, so it'll be interesting to see how much she ends up with.

She was measuring at about 5 and a half pounds, give or a take a half a pound, which the tech said is right on for this point in time.  She said looking at my belly she'd say she was smaller if anything....but that's what they told me with Casen and he ended up being a pound and a half bigger then their guess :) So i'm still thinking she's going to be about the same size as Casen unless I go early.

Next appointment is this coming Friday and then they continue once a week until she's here :)

Again!?

It looks like I may have puppps....again.

A rash that less then once percent experience in their first pregnancy and one percent of those women will get it in subsequent pregnancies.

I really hope it ends up just being an allergy to detergent or something else, but it sure looks and feels like i've hit this lovely stage again.

Prayers would be appreciated.  I'd give birth any day over dealing with what puppps turned into my first pregnancy.
