December

Pre christmas December post.  Super short, but tomorrow we head north to spend the holidays with my family and I cannot wait!  I'll hopefully have a lot of pictures between that and christmas so our mini update until then.

We pick out a new ornament for our tree every year.  It's a little tradition we started before we even had kids and we've stuck to it faithfully. This little guy was way too cute to pass up this year.

Bass pro is always a good time, but especially around Christmas

Caleb came home late one day after working with the fast team and brought the kids starbucks and snowmen treats.  They loved it!

Casen has been asking for awhile now to wear his jersey to school, so when the patriots played on a Monday night the timing finally worked out.  I snapped this picture and could not believe how grown up he looked.

Speaking of the Patriots we have been throughly enjoying the games with friends...and wings this year.

And on December 14 Caleb and I celebrated being together for 10 years! We started a couple of years ago opening our stockings to each other on that date.  This year caleb put in mine, among lots of other perfect things, this amazing bracelet.  I think it's one of the few times I've cried over a gift.  It's blue line for my hottie of a police officer and then on the inside is his initials and code number.  He is so thoughtful and I love it.

Now we are off to road trip! :)

November

Besides my veterans day post, here's what we've been up to in November

We checked out the richmond beer festival (yes, it was kid friendly) and grabbed some fresh Duck Donuts to warm us up.

Casen never minds snuggling up to Kati :P

Caleb and i tackled a giant puzzle! I love our at home date nights

We celebrated the Marine Corps birthday

We went out for a family Starbucks date

She fell asleep watching the football game standing up

The Short pump mall is amazing at Christmas!

I had the best thanksgiving preppers this year.

And we had a pretty delicious thanksgiving meal

And after that we got to work on our Christmas.  I'll spare you the 20 pictures, but here's a few of our holiday home.

In honor of veterans day, I get to post the cutest videos ever.  Casen and the rest of his first grade class put on a veterans day concert and honored all who served.  It was so sweet.  I only taped half the songs, but I was so proud of casen.  It's so awesome that the school is teaching the kids what's important.

And now I get to brag on my veteran! After casens concert we went to an award ceremony where caleb was being honored with 2 lifesaving awards and a meritorious unit award for the overtime work he does with the fast team.  I know the writing is tiny, but hopefully you can read what he got all the awards for.  He makes it so easy to be so incredibly proud of him.

We were sitting in the wrong section to get any good pictures, but thankfully they had a professional there so ill eventually get those.  This is him with the chief of police from the back in between people's heads :p

And since it is veterans day I just have to say again how thankful I am for not only my veteran, but all those who have served and are serving this country.  The sacrifices they make are truly immeasurable to any of us.

October Recap

Calebs been chipping away at the ginormous tree.

Cousin time

Another wedding! The kids loved this one too.  Were so happy for Brandon and kati

We, of course went all in with Halloween like we always do.  The kids l9ve painting pumpkins and I love not having to mess with carving them.

Our church had a dress up day for the kids the Sunday before Halloween.  They definitely enjoyed getting to put costumes on more then once.

We've now embraced november.  My mom makes the cutest garlands for me for each season!

I love my family :)

I have lots of October pictures, but for now, here's my cute Halloween babies.  They've been looking forward to this day for a long time now.
We went to the mall for trick or treating this year.  They put signs up in all the stores that had candy (which ended up being pretty much all of them.) It was super nice because they got the experience without us having to knock on doors we were unsure of.  And they did okay on candy too!
