I finally got some updated pictures taken of the kids.  I hadn't taken any since easter last year and they've grown at least a foot each since then :)

Side note, caleb and i dont agree on which one we like best of arya so you get two.

Mother's Day

Here's the post where I get to brag on my husband and kiddos.  My favorite kind of post :)

Caleb had to work mothers day so we did most of our celebrating the day before.  We went out to dinner at our favorite brewery, got to walk the outdoor mall, pick out yummy truffle desserts, and after the kids went to sleep Caleb and i saved the world! Sorta....we both love to play board games so we picked up a new one we now love.  You work together to try to save the world from a disease outbreak.  If you haven't heard of pandemic and you and your spouse love games, you should check it out!

And caleb spoiled me with extra special gifts

A new tessa fossil bag and the best smelling fancy perfume he picked out all on his own.

Mothers day morning casen instructed me to stay in bed him and dad had some stuff to do.  So I stayed in bed until I had tw little ones coming in each with a bouquet of flowers and breakfast for me.  It was the perfect morning.

And casen also made me a special present at school this year.  He made a handwritten card all on his own and the cute little coaster.  They got to pick 3 colors and his awesome teacher put the  all together.

The rest of the day we spent walking some hiking trails and I even got a nap in and caleb made us pizza :)

I'm so thankful for my family.  I have some sweet kids and im so grateful to be there mama.  And I'm so glad I married the best man who not only spoils me on a regular basis and let's me know how much he loves me, but also for teaching our kiddos how great love is too.

I am one lucky lady :)

April

Life update for the month of April...

So the way Calebs schedule works he gets weekends off for about a month and then for a month he works them.  A lot of the time his working weekends tend to be a struggle.  Casens used to being busy in school all day when calebs sleeping so the weekends I have a hard time keeping him occupied enough that were not all grumps!

I'm still horrible at remembering pictures in general but here's some shots of our random weekend adventures

And after I feel completely defeated, my saint of a husband comes through the door with this in his hands.  Seriously, he works long hard nights and brings me my favorite icecream.  I know everyone says you only put the good stuff out on social media so people think your life is perfect, but I think he's pretty darn close! 

And our latest (and greatest) adventure started a couple days ago.  We all were feeling a little down.  We got a call from school reminding us Casen had a half day the next day.  Wait...a half day...what exactly gets accomplished on a half day anyways :p so we packed our bags, loaded up the car, and headed to our favorite spot, Williamsburg.  I wish I had more pictures of it, but caleb and i shut off our phones and it was wonderful.  The kids swam their hearts content.  We got to have our favorite meals and we also could have possibly squeezed in some shopping.  It was the perfect couple of days and just what the doctor ordered.

The leprechaun visit is about all I had as far as a March update.  We all ended up sick, caleb extremely, so our house was not up for many pictures.  So ill just finish up the month with our recent trip north!

The day we left caleb booked me a hair appointment to get whatever I wanted done.  So a cut and purple hair later we were on the road :) he's the best!

My entire family was able to get together this year for easter.  It was so much fun and im so thankful for them. Tyler and katie did a great job hosting and we can't wait to go back.

Pretty much the whole weekend was just spent hanging out and relaxing.  Saturday we got a pretty good fat bat game going, the girls of course won.

 The whole family did a fantasy football league this past year.  Dad won so he was presented with the trophy.  I came in a close second, better luck next year!

I didn't get hardly any pictures, but most of the time I didn't even know where my phone was.  It was pretty nice.  The kids very much enjoyed easter and said it was the best day ever.

 Katie and Tyler set up a glow in the dark easter egg hunt.  They loved it!

st. Patricks day

Every year since casen was born a leprechaun has come to visit our house.  It's turned from him leaving leprechaun kisses and little goodies to him wreaking havoc on the house.  The kids always have a blast and if you ask casen he'll probably tell you it's his favorite holiday.

This year, as Casens growing older, he decided setting a trap would be the best way to catch that leprechaun.  So he along with Caleb got to work on the perfect trap.

Unfortunately the leprechaun escaped by the brim of a hat :)

Thankfully he left a bunch of treats in the trap for almost catching him.

I didnt get as many pictures as normal because this was casens first year having school and we didn't factor in how dark it would still be...plus he's a lot faster about it then past years.  Aryas a much later riser so she had just as much fun a few hours after jo left for school.

They got big fake gold bars they got to dig apart to find either real gold or a gemstone in the middle of.

Caleb and I finally made the leap.  We've been talking about getting tattoos for quite a few years now, but it never really worked out...until now.
